SEND Support Assistant – Stockton-on-Tees

THE ROLE:
- Supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Working with students with additional needs including ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition), ADHD, SEMH, MLD and communication difficulties.
- Assisting the class teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour management and social development.
- Full-time and Part-time hours available.
- September starts.
- £90+ per day (depending on experience).
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND is desirable.
- A CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification (or equivalent) is advantageous but not essential for candidates with relevant experience.
- Patient, resilient and committed to helping every child succeed.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Must have (or be willing to apply immediately for) an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
- Adaptable, reliable and professional.
