We are working alongside a well established fabrication company in the Newton Aycliffe area who are seeking dedicated and proficient platers. Looking to fill night shift positions however initially starting on days.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform plating tasks on structural steel components.
  • Reading engineering drawings.
  • Set up welding equipment and select appropriate techniques.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure welds meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet project deadlines and objectives.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and industry regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Structural Steel plater or similar role.
  • Proficiency in various welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of different types of metals and their welding characteristics.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

You will be expected to undertake a plate test if successful for an interview. Working 42 hours per week, Monday to Thursday.
