As a Science Technician, you will play a key role in preparing resources, maintaining equipment, and supporting the smooth day‑to‑day running of the science department.

• Prepare, set up, and clear away equipment and materials for practical science lessons.
• Support teachers and students during practical activities where required.
• Ensure laboratories and preparation areas are maintained to a high standard.
• Maintain and organise stock, equipment, and chemicals within the science department.
• Carry out routine checks and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times within the department.
• Assist with ordering and managing science resources and supplies.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support effective delivery of the science curriculum.

• Previous laboratory or science technician experience – essential.
• Experience working within a school or educational setting – desirable.
• A strong understanding of health and safety procedures within a laboratory environment.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
