Education World are recruiting for dedicated and experienced SEMH Teaching Assistants to join a secondary alternative behaviour provision in Newcastle. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs and be confident in challenging situations.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support students with SEMH needs in their learning and personal development
  • Assist in the implementation of behaviour management strategies
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a positive learning environment
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support as needed
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of educational activities
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with administrative tasks
