Biology Teacher in Newcastle upon Tyne

Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Biology Teacher to join a sought after secondary school in the Newcastle area from January 2026 . This is a full‑time role with an initial contract until February half term.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching both dual award and triple award elements of Biology.

The Role

• Deliver engaging Biology lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4
• KS5 Biology teaching is desirable but not essential
• Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with curriculum objectives
• Contribute to the wider school community and work collaboratively with colleagues

The Ideal Candidate Will

• Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification
• Have experience teaching Biology at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is a bonus)
• Be passionate about Biology and committed to student progress in Science
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and effective communication skills
