Education World is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and forward-thinking nursery group for an experienced and inspirational Executive Head of Nursery to lead and oversee the strategic and operational management of their early years provision. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic leader with extensive early years experience to drive excellence across nursery settings, support staff development, and ensure the highest standards of childcare, safeguarding, and education are consistently achieved.
The Role
- Providing strategic leadership and operational oversight across nursery settings
- Driving outstanding standards in teaching, learning, safeguarding, and care
- Leading and developing Nursery Managers and senior leadership teams
- Monitoring and improving quality assurance, policies, and procedures
- Ensuring full compliance with EYFS, Ofsted, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements
- Supporting recruitment, staff retention, and workforce development
- Managing budgets, occupancy targets, and overall nursery performance
- Building strong relationships with parents, external agencies, and stakeholders
- Leading on inspections, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Promoting a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture across all settings
The Ideal Candidate
- Hold a relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
- Have significant leadership experience within early years or nursery settings
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted frameworks
- Have experience managing multiple teams or settings
- Possess excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Be passionate about delivering exceptional early years education and care
- Have the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams effectively
- Be commercially aware with strong operational management experience
