We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in North Tyneside. Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning across a range of secondary subjects, working with individuals and small groups.
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging, accessible, and differentiated learning activities.
- Provide targeted support to pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND where required.
- Help maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support pupils’ academic progress as well as their social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Encourage engagement, independence, and positive attitudes towards learning.
- Adapt resources and approaches to meet the needs of individual learners.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, SENCOs, and external agencies where appropriate.
- Monitor and provide feedback on pupil progress and engagement.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures and school policies are followed at all times.
