We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting student development, and fostering a positive learning environment. Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons across multiple subjects such as Maths, Journalism, and Creative Writing, tailored to students’ individual needs.
  • Support students through mentoring and tutoring sessions to enhance their understanding and confidence.
  • Manage behaviour effectively to maintain a positive classroom environment through behaviour management techniques.
  • Proofread and review student work to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to academic standards.
  • Adapt teaching strategies for students with special educational needs, ensuring inclusive learning experiences.
  • Organise classroom activities and resources efficiently to maximise engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to students and parents as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum content that promotes organisational skills and critical thinking.
  • Foster open communication with students to encourage active participation and address individual learning challenges.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in teaching or tutoring across relevant subjects such as Maths or Creative Writing.
  • Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire learners of diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of special education practices and behaviour management strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt messages for different audiences.
  • Organisational skills necessary for lesson planning, resource management, and record keeping.
  • Experience in journalism or proofreading is desirable but not essential.
  • A recognised teaching qualification or relevant educational background is preferred.
  • Passion for education with a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment.
