We are currently working in partnership with a fantastic primary school in Walker that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support their team from September on a full‑time, long‑term basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a welcoming and supportive school where you will primarily support pupils in Key Stage 1, while also spending some time within the Early Years provision when required.
Role
- Full‑time position, Monday to Friday, 08:30am – 3:30pm.
- Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 classes.
- Delivering interventions and providing additional support to individual pupils and small groups.
- Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and classroom activities.
- Supporting children's academic, social, and emotional development.
- Working closely with teachers and other members of staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
- Providing support within the Early Years setting when required.
Requirements
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential).
- Previous experience working within a primary school or early years setting.
- A positive, patient, and caring approach.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and use initiative when supporting pupils.
