We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive Early Years team in Washington. Key Responsibilities- Support teaching and learning as an EYFS Teaching Assistant, working with individuals and small groups of children.
- Assist in delivering engaging, play-based activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Support children’s communication, language, social, emotional, and early numeracy development.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where children can thrive.
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress, contributing to planning and next steps.
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher and Early Years team to support daily routines and learning activities.
- Support children in developing independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures and school policies are followed at all times.
- A minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification – essential.
- Experience working within an Early Years setting (nursery or reception) – essential.
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A good understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
