Hours: Split shifts – Breakfast Club (7:30am–9:00am) & After School Club (3:00pm–6:00pm)
Start Date: Immediate / September 2025
The Role
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Breakfast and After School Club Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Ryton. You will play a key role in providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children before and after the school day.
Duties Will Include
- Supervising and engaging children in play and structured activities
- Preparing light breakfasts/snacks and ensuring healthy choices
- Promoting positive behaviour and safeguarding at all times
- Supporting children’s social and emotional well-being
- Helping with set-up and tidy-down of activities and resources
Requirements
- A relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or above) is essential
- Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, or play setting
- Strong communication and team-working skills
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply)
