We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic PPA Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Northumberland on a part-time basis (Fridays only). As a PPA Teacher, you will deliver high-quality pre-planned lessons across the primary age range, providing classroom cover during teachers’ planning, preparation, and assessment time. You will play an important role in maintaining consistency, engagement, and positive learning experiences throughout the school.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of primary year groups.
- Ensure continuity of learning in the absence of the class teacher during PPA time.
- Create a positive, engaging, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Follow school policies, schemes of work, and behaviour expectations.
- Support pupils’ learning and encourage participation and progress.
- Adapt delivery where necessary to meet the needs of different learners.
- Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive behaviour.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and follow guidance provided for planning and assessment.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures and school policies are followed at all times.
