We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join a successful and welcoming secondary school in Tooting from September 2026. As a Geography Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 depending on your experience and the needs of the department. You will join a supportive Humanities faculty that encourages innovative teaching and collaborative planning to help students achieve their full potential.
This is a permanent, full-time position commencing in September 2026. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply and will benefit from a comprehensive induction programme and ongoing mentoring.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Teach Key Stage 5 Geography where appropriate, depending on experience and departmental requirements.
- Inspire students to develop curiosity about the physical and human world and a passion for geographical enquiry.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, using assessment effectively to inform planning and raise attainment.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all students can succeed.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour, engagement, and achievement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Humanities department to share best practice and develop the curriculum.
- Contribute to enrichment opportunities, fieldwork, and the wider life of the school where appropriate.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures and school policies are followed at all times.
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or expected to achieve QTS by September 2026 – essential.
- The ability to teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4.
