As a
Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant , you will work closely with the class teacher and wider Early Years team to support children's learning through engaging, play-based experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
You will help create a stimulating and caring environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning by working with individual children and small groups within the Early Years setting.
- Assist in delivering engaging, play-based learning activities in line with the EYFS framework.
- Support children's communication, language, literacy, numeracy, and personal, social, and emotional development.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where children can flourish.
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress, contributing to planning and next steps.
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher and wider Early Years team to support daily routines and learning activities.
- Encourage children to develop independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures and school policies are followed at all times.
Essential Criteria
A recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification – essential.
- Experience working within an Early Years setting.
- A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Preferred Criteria
- Previous experience supporting children within a primary school Reception class.
- Experience contributing to observations, assessments, and learning journals.
- Knowledge of phonics and early language development.
- Paediatric First Aid qualification.
- A passion for delivering high-quality Early Years education.
