Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging and practical lessons as a Food Technology Teacher across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Teach key concepts including nutrition, food preparation, hygiene, and safety.
- Ensure all lessons are delivered in a safe and well-managed practical environment.
- Use effective assessment strategies to monitor and support student progress.
- Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
- Contribute to the development of the Technology curriculum and departmental resources.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures and school policies are followed at all times.
- A valid UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Food Technology or Design & Technology – essential.
- Experience working as a Food Technology Teacher within a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for practical teaching.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
