Overview

The Education Training Collective (Etc.) is a dynamic group of colleges and training providers delivering high-quality education and skills training across the Tees Valley. We have been awarded an Outstanding Ofsted rating and are focused on creating greater opportunities for all our students and communities.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Network Security Analyst to join our Digital Services team, reporting to the Network & Infrastructure Manager. The role involves safeguarding our group’s digital platforms and services, monitoring security alerts, investigating incidents, managing vulnerabilities, and supporting compliance with Cyber Essentials Plus, Data Protection, and GDPR. You will work closely with Network Engineers and IT colleagues to keep our infrastructure secure, resilient, and ready for the future.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be passionate about cyber security and committed to protecting systems and data.
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Be proactive, organized, and detail-focused.
  • Be an excellent communicator, able to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.

You will have:

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure security features.
  • Knowledge of firewalls, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning and security incident response.
  • Relevant industry qualifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Security, or CCNA Security (desirable: CISSP, CISM, CEH).
