An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in Construction Skills to join our Construction, Professional & Service Industries department, reporting to our Curriculum Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a high-performing and supportive curriculum team committed to delivering outstanding education and training.
As a Lecturer in Construction Skills, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across a range of construction disciplines, particularly Brickwork, Joinery & Carpentry. You will play a key role in supporting students to develop practical trade skills, theoretical knowledge, and employability skills required for progression into the construction industry.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, organised, and possess strong problem-solving skills. You will have the ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, alongside a willingness to continually learn and develop your professional practice. The successful candidate will have substantial experience within the construction sector and a strong understanding of industry standards and practices. You will ideally have experience of teaching or training, with the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons that inspire learners and promote achievement.
