Education Supply Pool are a PAYE Employer recruiting Teaching Assistants to support day-to-day, short-term and long-term positions on behalf of schools based in Newport and its surrounding areas.
We are looking for someone FULL TIME who is a Teaching Assistant with a minimum of NVQ Level 2, CACHE Level 2, BTEC, BA (Hons) Education or experience working within an education setting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 months experience working inside a classroom in either a Primary or Secondary school environment. Owning a valid UK Driver's License and having access to a vehicle would widen job opportunities.
Teaching Assistants are a crucial part of the education workforce in Wales, supporting and motivating children. Joining supply is also a great opportunity to gain experience within different school settings at a flexible schedule you control.
Successful candidates will be required to attend an interview and I.D check in our office building located in Newport city centre. Directions will be provided closer to the date.
The successful candidate:
- Minimum of 3 months experience inside a UK Primary or Secondary classroom or teaching assistant environment with the correct Education and Training.
- Assist with preparing lessons in all areas of the school curriculum with consideration of varied levels of student abilities.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain a positive attitude.
- Provide stimulating activities whilst ensuring hygiene and safety rules.
- Maintain a supportive and clean classroom environment.
- Be attentive to the unique needs of each student and identify proper solutions when children encounter issues.
- Great communication skills to collaborate with other teachers and families when needed.
