Job Description

Education Supply Pool works with a variety of schools in Newport and surrounding area. We are recruiting enthusiastic and resilient individuals who have experience working with children/young adults with additional learning needs in a childcare setting. Teaching Assistants are a crucial part of the education workforce in Wales, supporting and motivating children to meet their specific needs.

Candidates with full-time availability are desirable, but those with part-time availability are welcome to apply. Owning a valid UK driver’s license and having access to a vehicle would widen job opportunities.

Requirements and expectations

  • Minimum of 12 months experience in an ALN Specialist School with Education and Training, or Learning Resource Based experience
  • Experience working with children/young adults with additional learning needs
  • Be attentive to the unique needs of students and identify appropriate solutions when issues arise
  • Role may be challenging; be committed and dedicated to the position
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain a positive attitude
  • Provide stimulating activities while ensuring hygiene and safety rules
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers and families

We are a preferred supplier on the Welsh Government’s National Teacher Framework, offering day-to-day and long-term placements throughout the school year.
