Education Staffbank is partnering with a leading independent higher education provider in London to recruit an experienced and passionate Lecturer in Health and Social Care. About the Role

You will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering engaging teaching across a range of health and social care modules. You will support students on campus, contribute to assessment, quality assurance, and curriculum improvement, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance learning outcomes. You may also lead modules and coordinate with associate lecturers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver lectures, seminars, and tutorials in line with curriculum standards
  • Develop and update teaching materials and maintain digital learning platforms
  • Set, assess, and provide feedback on student assignments and exams
  • Support students academically and pastorally, including those with learning support needs
  • Engage with quality assurance processes and contribute to programme evaluations
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes
  • Lead modules and coordinate with associate lecturers where applicable

Essential Criteria

  • Master’s degree in a relevant health and social care field
  • Experience teaching in Higher Education with strong digital teaching capability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of HE quality assurance and validation processes
  • Student-focused, flexible, and committed to continuous improvement
  • Willingness to work towards HEA Fellowship if not already held

Desirable Criteria

  • PhD (or near completion) or equivalent professional experience
  • Engagement in research or enterprise activities
  • Teaching qualification
  • Experience leading modules or academic teams
