Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)? Education Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled individual to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Derby area.
Our clients provide effective support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, starting from our first contact with parents and carers when the students join our Academy. We make sure that additional needs are identified early, and offer a range of provision to meet the identified needs.
This rewarding, full-time role begins immediately and will continue until the end of the current academic year. You will work closely with class teachers and SEN staff to provide tailored support that nurtures both the academic and emotional development of pupils with additional learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with MLD
- Assist in adapting learning materials to meet individual needs
- Foster a positive, supportive learning environment
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Monitor and report on pupil progress
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience supporting children with special educational needs, particularly MLD
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEND (desirable)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
