Overview: Education Personnel is partnering with a progressive and well-respected school in Belper to recruit a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for a full-time position starting April 2026. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support students across the school within a thriving department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing individual and small group support: Assist pupils with learning activities, one-to-one support, and implementing differentiated learning plans.
  • Creating and maintaining a supportive learning environment: Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, ensuring the safety and well-being of pupils.
  • Communicating effectively: Maintain regular communication with teachers, parents/carers, and other professionals regarding pupil progress and well-being.
  • Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs: Implement strategies to support pupils' social and emotional development and manage challenging behaviour.
  • Assisting with practical tasks: Support pupils with personal care needs, prepare learning materials, and maintain classroom resources.
  • Contributing to the wider school community: Participate in school events and activities and contribute to the overall well-being of the school.
