History Teacher – Nottingham (QTS Required) Location: Nottingham Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Start Date: Immediate / January 2027 Pay Rate: £130–£230 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities) Qualification: QTS required Experience: Minimum 6 months’ teaching experience in a UK secondary school Overview: Education Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a progressive and well-respected secondary school in Nottingham to recruit a dedicated History Teacher for a position starting immediately or in January 2027. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled History educator to contribute to a thriving department and support students at KS3, KS4, and potentially History KS5. Nottingham schools offer supportive Humanities faculties with a strong emphasis on critical thinking and debate. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver the KS3 & KS4 History curriculum, with KS5 teaching available if experienced in Nottingham * Plan, prepare, and assess History lessons in line with department policy * Monitor student progress and implement appropriate interventions for source analysis and essay skills * Contribute to History department improvement planning * Attend staff meetings, CPD, and parents’ evenings as required The Ideal Candidate: * Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) * Has at least 6 months of classroom teaching History experience in a UK secondary setting * Is passionate about History education and student achievement * Has excellent behaviour management and communication skills * Demonstrates a collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to school life Why apply through Education Personnel?
