Overview: Education Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a progressive and well-respected secondary school in Matlock to recruit a dedicated Maths Teacher for a full-time position starting September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Maths educator to contribute to a thriving department and support students at KS4 and potentially KS5.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the KS3 & KS4 Maths curriculum, with KS5 teaching available if experienced
- Plan, prepare, and assess Maths lessons in line with department policy
- Monitor student progress and implement appropriate interventions
- Contribute to department improvement planning Maths
- Attend staff meetings, CPD, and parents’ evenings as required
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has at least 6 months of classroom teaching Maths experience in a UK secondary setting
- Is passionate about education and student achievement
- Has excellent behaviour management and communication skills
- Demonstrates a collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to school life
