Overview: Education Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Derby to recruit a dedicated KS1 Teacher for a full-time position starting in September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to support pupils during a crucial stage of their academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum
- Support pupils in developing key literacy, numeracy, and social skills
- Plan, prepare, and assess learning activities to meet individual pupil needs
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor progress and implement interventions where required
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff
- Attend staff meetings, CPD sessions, and parents' evenings as required
The Ideal Candidate
- Has at least 6 months of classroom teaching experience in a UK primary setting
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has a strong understanding of KS1 curriculum requirements
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
