Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a vibrant secondary school setting? We are seeking a passionate and skilled HLTA to join our supportive team from September 2025.

Responsibilities
- Covering whole classes for short-term absences of teachers, ensuring continuity of learning.
- Delivering planned lessons and activities to individuals, small groups, and whole classes.
- Supporting pupils with their learning, both academically and socially, adapting approaches to meet diverse needs.
- Assisting with the assessment and tracking of pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers.
- Preparing and resourcing learning materials and maintaining a stimulating classroom environment.
- Collaborating effectively with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Promoting positive behaviour and fostering a nurturing atmosphere.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities.
Qualifications
- Holds the HLTA qualification or equivalent.
- Has proven experience of working in a primary school setting.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate pupils.
- Possesses a strong understanding of the primary curriculum.
- Is proactive, adaptable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
