Overview: Education Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a progressive and well-respected secondary school in Derby to recruit a dedicated History Teacher for a full-time position starting April 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled History educator to contribute to a thriving department and support students at KS4 and potentially History at KS5.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the KS3 & KS4 History curriculum, with KS5 teaching available if experienced.
- Plan, prepare, and assess History lessons in line with department policies.
- Monitor student progress and implement appropriate interventions.
- Contribute to department improvement planning History.
- Attend staff meetings, CPD, and parents’ evenings as required.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has at least 6 months of classroom teaching History experience in a UK secondary setting.
- Is passionate about Business education and student achievement.
- Has excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
- Demonstrates a collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to school life.
