Education Personnel, a leading education recruitment agency in the East Midlands, is seeking an experienced and versatile HLTA to join a highly regarded secondary school in Derby. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work across both the Alternative Provision (AP) unit and mainstream secondary classrooms, supporting pupils to achieve their potential in a nurturing and structured environment.
The Role
- Supporting pupils in the Alternative Provision unit, focusing on engagement, behaviour management, and reintegration into mainstream lessons
- Assisting teaching staff in general secondary classrooms, delivering structured learning and providing pastoral support
- Planning and delivering interventions, small group support, and individualised learning opportunities
- Supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, and behavioural needs
- Collaborating closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and senior leaders to provide a consistent, positive learning environment
