Overview: Support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within mainstream primary schools and specialist provisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional needs
- Support children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties
- Implement EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies
- Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Promote inclusion and pupil wellbeing
- Record and monitor pupil progress
Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum 3 months' SEND or school-based experience
- Experience supporting children with additional needs is highly desirable
- Patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Relevant TA or SEND qualifications desirable
