The Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled HLTA to support teaching and learning across the school, with a particular focus on pupils with Special Educational Needs. This is an exciting position for someone who is committed to inclusive practice and eager to make a meaningful difference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead whole-class sessions and small-group teaching under teacher guidance
- Deliver differentiated and targeted learning activities, including for pupils with SEND
- Support personalised learning through adapted resources and evidence-based interventions
- Provide mentoring and support to other classroom assistants
- Contribute to a calm, positive and values-led classroom environment
- Track and monitor pupil progress, contributing to planning and assessment
- Promote independence, resilience and personal development
- Work in partnership with teachers, families and external professionals
Person Specification
We want to hear from you if you:
- Hold an HLTA qualification (or equivalent)
- Have experience working with primary-aged pupils, ideally including SEN support
- Are confident adapting learning for a wide range of abilities and needs
- Possess strong communication, organisation and behaviour-management skills
- Are reflective, compassionate and able to work collaboratively
