Overview: Education Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a progressive and well-respected school for SEND pupils especially those with Autism in rural Belper to recruit a dedicated SEN TA for a temporary position, starting in January. There are multiple roles available including daily casual bank and also long term full time positions. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled SEN TA educator to contribute to a thriving department and support students from EYFS to 16+. The school is nestled in the heart of Amber Valley and prides itself on its inclusivity and diversity. The school has a wide range of sensory tools that will assist any TA achieve their very best with their pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pupils accessing their curriculum
- Assist the teacher in assessing pupils progress and achievements
- Monitor student progress and implement appropriate interventions
- Contribute to department improvement
- Attend staff meetings, CPD, and parents’ evenings as required
The Ideal Candidate:
- Ideally- A qualification in teaching assisting
- Has at least 6 months of classroom experience or in a SEND environment
- Is passionate about SEND education and student achievement
- Has excellent behaviour management and communication skills
- Demonstrates a collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to school life
