Finance Assistant in Huntingdon

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our finance team based in Huntingdon. This role will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate processing, timely reporting, and effective financial administration. It\’s an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build or continue a career in finance within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process purchase and sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable
• Reconcile bank statements and financial records
• Support month-end processes, including journals and reporting
• Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
• Respond to internal and external finance queries
• Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation
• Support the internal HR team with ad-hoc administrative tasks

About You

• Previous experience in a finance or accounts role (desirable)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach
• AAT qualification or working towards one is advantageous but not essential
