We are currently seeking a dedicated and nurturing Learning Support Assistant / LSA to join a welcoming primary school in Highbridge. This is a full-time, 1:1 role supporting a child in Reception with Autism (ASD). You will play a key role in helping the child access learning, develop socially and emotionally, and feel safe and supported throughout the school day within a caring and inclusive environment. The school has a strong reputation within the local community and prides itself on its warm, supportive ethos. Staff work collaboratively to create a positive and structured environment where every child is given the opportunity to thrive.
The Role:
- 1:1 Learning Support Assistant supporting a child in Reception with ASD
- Providing tailored support to meet the child's individual needs
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies and routines
- Supporting communication, social interaction and emotional regulation
- Helping to create a calm, safe and engaging learning environment
- Encouraging independence and confidence
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has experience supporting children with ASD or additional needs, ideally in a primary or Early Years setting
