We are currently seeking a dedicated and nurturing Learning Support Assistant / LSA to join a welcoming primary school in Highbridge. This is a full-time, 1:1 role supporting a child in Reception with Autism (ASD). You will play a key role in helping the child access learning, develop socially and emotionally, and feel safe and supported throughout the school day within a caring and inclusive environment.

The Role:

  • 1:1 Learning Support Assistant supporting a child in Reception with ASD
  • Providing tailored support to meet the child’s individual needs
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies and routines
  • Supporting communication, social interaction and emotional regulation
  • Helping to create a calm, safe and engaging learning environment
  • Encouraging independence and confidence

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has experience supporting children with ASD or additional needs, ideally in a primary or Early Years setting
  • Is patient, consistent and nurturing in their approach
  • Has a good understanding of supporting children with communication and sensory needs
  • Works well as part of a team and takes initiative when needed
  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service
