About The Candidate
We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality systems and services that enhance the student experience. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, resilient and highly organised, with the ability to lead and motivate teams in a complex educational environment. They will demonstrate strong communication skills, integrity and a commitment to continuous improvement, building trusted relationships with colleagues at all levels. How will this person be a Changemaker?
This role is central to driving innovation and improvement across key operational areas of the college. The successful candidate will lead and manage the effective delivery of the College’s examinations strategy, ensuring all examination processes are delivered efficiently, accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements. The role supports the College’s Strategic and Curriculum Plans by providing high-quality examination services that contribute to an outstanding student learning experience.
About The Role
To provide operational leadership of the examination department across Education Partnership North East ensuring entries, registrations and results are accurately collated and timely recorded in accordance with JCQ and Awarding Body Regulations as well as College Policy.

Qualifications
- Educated to Degree Level or equivalent qualifications/experience
- Level 4 Management qualification (or willingness to work towards within 2 years)
- GCSE Maths and English Grade A*–C (or equivalent)
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience of leading and managing teams to deliver high-quality services, performance improvement and organisational priorities.
- Significant experience of managing examinations within an FE or skills environment.
- Experience working within the Further Education sector, with knowledge of Joint Council for Qualifications and Awarding Body rules and regulations.
- Experience of delivering staff training on awarding body regulations, examinations and invigilation.
