Sunderland College has been delivering highly successful courses for more than 20 years and is one of the largest providers of post-16 education in the North East with approximately 14,300 students.
The College has two campuses across the city of Sunderland, offering a wide range of academic and vocational provision for school leavers and adults. The College aims to develop and positively shape lives, communities, and the economy through teaching, learning and development of skills. Our students consistently achieve outstanding results and Sunderland College has been ranked in the top 25% in the country for student achievement rates. Role Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging sessions tailored to individual learner needs and project goals
- Support participants in developing practical skills, confidence, and employability skills
- Track and monitor learner progress, including managing documentation for work experience (WEX) and industry placement records
- Collaborate with colleagues, employers, and partner organisations to coordinate meaningful placement opportunities
- Maintain accurate administrative records and contribute to regular reporting and evaluation activities
Qualifications
- Qualified to level 3 or above in a relevant subject
- English and maths to a minimum of level 2
- Full clean driving license
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience of working with young people and adults in group situations
- Experience on working as part of a team
- Experience of working within a relevant technical area
- Effective written communication with staff and students
- Good oral communication skills with students and staff
- Ability to work with a wide ability range of learners
- Effective use of Digital and ICT resources
- Ability to plan and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines and targets
- Ability to develop effective working partnerships with colleagues and students
