About the Role

Role Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of high-quality computing programmes, ensuring curriculum relevance, industry alignment, and excellent learning experiences.
- Provide strong academic and pastoral support to students, including those with EHCPs or ALS needs, and actively support progression to higher education or employment.
- Embrace and implement digital learning technologies to enhance teaching, assessment, and student engagement, while sharing best practices across the team.
- Monitor and support student performance, attendance, and behaviour; contribute to interviews, inductions, parental engagement, and safeguarding procedures.
- Oversee quality assurance processes, including curriculum reviews, assessment preparation, and compliance with awarding body and college standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to manage course documentation, maintain accurate records on college platforms (e.g. SharePoint), and contribute to a culture of celebration and excellence.
Qualifications
- Appropriate degree or equivalent/relevant vocational qualification or commitment to work towards.
- Teacher qualification or commitment to work towards
- Assessor Awards or commitment to work towards within first year
- Level 2 English and maths qualification
- Successful experience of delivering high quality provision
- Evidence of supporting curriculum development
- Evidence of collecting and acting upon data analysis
- Experience of implementing a range of delivery methods to suit a variety of learning needs.
- Appropriate academic/vocational experience
- Experience of internal quality assurance
- Initial assessment processes and its relationship to target setting, planning for learning and student progress
