About the Candidate
You will be a key member of a collaborative team that focuses on providing excellent learner experiences through the quality of our teaching, learning and assessment. The successful candidate will have a passion for and a keen desire to deliver key concepts innovatively to inspire our learners to have lifelong careers in this growing sector.
Applicants should have an appropriate degree level qualification, together with experience of working within the sector. About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a learning practitioner to join our ambitious department at Sunderland College. The successful candidate will work in a thriving Education, Children and Families team, which currently delivers a curriculum spanning Level 2 to Adult and Higher Education Programmes.
This is an exciting time for the team with planned growth and we are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic learning practitioner with excellent pedagogical skills and industry knowledge or experience. We would also welcome applications from innovative practitioners who have industry experience, who aspire to move into teaching. The role will involve a mixture of delivery during the day and two evenings per week (Tuesday’s and Thursday’s till 9pm).
Role Responsibilities
Qualifications
- Degree in relevant subject area
- Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent, or commitment to complete within the first two years.
- Level 2 Maths and English qualification
- Relevant industry experience in the education, children and families sector
- Successful experience of delivering high quality teaching / training
- Experience of effective and innovative use of ILT and digital technology
- Relevant practical experience in appropriate industry or profession.
