About the Role

The Stakeholder Engagement and Social Value Manager will implement a region‑wide Social Value Framework to be utilised by Further Education Providers and construction businesses across the region. The role will be key to establishing strategic partnerships between industry and education aligned to the objectives of the CTEC, developing new initiatives to enhance learner experience and supporting businesses to achieve their social value commitments.

Role Responsibilities

  • Maintain a deep and contemporary understanding of construction sector and cross‑sector developments, trends and best practices, ensuring the CTEC partnership remains responsive to industry demands.
  • Develop and implement a regionwide Social Value Framework for Further Education, supporting providers to effectively engage with industry and raise awareness of social value activity.
  • Engage with construction businesses across the region at preconstruction and construction stages, leveraging social value commitments to support the ambitions of the North East CTEC.
  • Support North East CTEC Hub and Spoke providers to effectively engage with industry, enabling partners to develop sustainable strategic partnerships.
  • Coordinate with main contractors to engage supply chains in social value activity and support enterprises to meet their commitments.

Qualifications

  • Level 4 or equivalent work‑based qualification (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Previous experience in a construction social value role or a related environment.
  • Significant experience developing and leading social value strategies and plans to deliver targeted results and outcomes.
  • Experience of successful partnership working, including with colleges and independent training providers, universities, businesses, charities, funders and local or national government.
  • Experience in creating project plans, supporting multiple projects, and delivering them to timely completion.
