About the Role
We are a specialist education recruitment agency working closely with SEN schools across the North East and are currently recruiting qualified SEN teachers for both ad‑hoc (supply) and long‑term positions. The role involves working with pupils in EYFS‑KS4 within specialist SEN settings, supporting children with a range of additional needs and helping them access a tailored and inclusive curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
- Support pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs
- Create a structured, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and SENCOs
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
Qualifications & Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching in SEN schools or specialist provisions (essential or strong preference)
- Strong behaviour management and differentiation skills
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through the agency)
