About the Role The Education Network is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Shipley.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children with Special Educational Needs to reach their full potential. You will work alongside experienced teaching staff and the school’s SENCO to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs.
Support the delivery of personalised learning plans and adapt classroom resources as required.
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing within the classroom.
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents and external professionals to support pupil progress.
Contribute to creating an inclusive, engaging and safe learning environment.Requirements
Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a school or care setting.
A patient, caring and adaptable approach to supporting pupils.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
A valid DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant, or SEN-specific training, are desirable but not essential.Why Work with The Education Network?
