Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Monday–Friday, term time)

About the Role:

We are a specialist education recruitment agency working closely with SEN schools across the North East, and we are currently recruiting qualified SEN Teachers for both ad-hoc (supply) and long-term positions. You will be working with pupils in EYFS-KS4 within specialist SEN settings, supporting children with a range of additional needs and helping them access a tailored and inclusive curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
  • Support pupils with a range of SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs
  • Create a structured, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and SENCOs
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching in SEN schools or specialist provisions (essential or strong preference)
  • Strong behaviour management and differentiation skills
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through the agency)
