Physics Teacher required for Maternity Cover in a Secondary School in Central Durham. Our client school is an excellent mixed secondary school located in County Durham. The school are looking to appoint an exciting and innovative Physics Teacher for supply to start in June 2025. The booking is expected to extend for the remainder of the academic year and possibly until Xmas 25.

You will become part of a strong team within the Science Department. The school seek a passionate and enthusiastic Physics Teacher with good subject knowledge and a creative approach. This is an exciting opportunity to join a committed, energetic and supportive Humanities department where the students are motivated to learn.

The HOD and Deputy Head Teacher encourage both experienced and newly qualified teachers to apply. Qualified Teacher Status is ESSENTIAL for employment. Applicants without QTS will not be considered.

The successful Physics Teacher will be a dynamic classroom practitioner with the ability to teach Science to GCSE level, able to self motivate as well as drive students to achieve above minimum targets. You will need to make lessons challenging and enjoyable, maximising students' potential for learning. Having high expectations of you, your colleagues and pupils is a necessity to ensure consistency is maintained throughout the school.
