The Education Network is currently recruiting a dedicated and resilient SEMH Specialist to support children and young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs across educational settings.
The Role
- Support pupils with SEMH needs, including challenging behaviour and emotional regulation difficulties
- Provide consistent, structured support both in and out of the classroom
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to implement behaviour and support plans
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to promote engagement and progress
- Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and social development
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs, ideally in a specialist or alternative provision
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour management
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and positive behaviour strategies
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant SEMH, SEN, or behaviour support training is desirable
