Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher with QTS looking for a rewarding opportunity within a specialist education setting? We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in the Uxbridge area, supporting pupils with additional needs through a personalised, nurturing and engaging approach to education.
The Role
- Creating a positive and supportive learning environment where pupils can develop academically, socially and emotionally.
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons.
- Supporting pupils with SEN and complex learning needs.
- Adapting teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs.
- Creating a safe, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
- Supporting pupils with their communication, confidence and independence.
- Monitoring and assessing pupil progress.
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider school team.
- Developing positive relationships with pupils and promoting their wellbeing.
- Contributing to individual learning plans and wider pupil support strategies.
The Ideal Candidate
- QTS is essential.
- Previous experience working with pupils with SEN is highly desirable.
- Experience with autism or complex needs would be advantageous.
- Patient, caring and adaptable approach.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Confident differentiating learning and adapting resources.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Passionate about supporting pupils to reach their full potential.
- Committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
