We are seeking a dedicated Science Cover Supervisor to join our team in an educational setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising students and ensuring a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular teacher.
If you are a Science Cover Supervisor looking for a long-term role for September, this could be the role for you. Based in an outstanding mixed-sex comprehensive in Greenwich, this role is looking to recruit someone on a temp to perm basis.
The school is a large 11 to 18 community comprehensive school with 2100 pupils and a well-supported SEN and pastoral team. All lessons are well supported by experienced LSAs and state-of-the-art classrooms.
You will have the support of a well-established SLT with a clear vision for the curriculum and student expectations. The school supports a fully inclusive learning environment.
As a Cover Supervisor in this role, you will be supporting the Science department to deliver effective lessons with one-to-one support and Science interventions to enable support for any students that may be struggling in the subject.
Minimum Requirements:
- The ideal applicant will have a Science degree and some previous school-based experience.
- Previous experience working with children, especially those with SEN, is preferable.
- Strong mentoring skills to guide and support students effectively.
- Proficiency in special education practices and strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
- A passion for helping students succeed in Science and beyond.
