A Level Computer Science Teacher / Lecturer (0.60 FTE) An ambitious and supportive sixth form college in Havering is seeking to appoint a knowledgeable and enthusiastic A Level Computer Science Teacher/Lecturer on a 0.60 FTE basis. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and challenging A Level Computer Science lessons, supporting students to develop strong programming, computational thinking, and problem-solving skills within a positive and inclusive learning environment. The Role Deliver A Level Computer Science across KS5 Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with examination specifications Monitor student progress and provide targeted intervention where required Support learners in achieving strong academic outcomes and progression pathways Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives Maintain accurate assessment and learner tracking records The Ideal Candidate Will Have A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, QTLS or equivalent) A degree in Computer Science or a related subject Experience teaching Computer Science at KS5/A Level Strong subject knowledge including programming and computational theory Excellent communication and organisational skills A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education The College Offers A supportive and collaborative sixth form environment Motivated and academically focused students Excellent professional development opportunities Well-resourced teaching facilities Opportunity to contribute to a successful and growing department Part-time: 0.60 FTE
