Are you a passionate and caring Nursery Practitioner looking for a rewarding opportunity in a beautiful Montessori setting? Due to the expansion of the school, we are looking for enthusiastic, nurturing and dedicated Nursery Practitioners to join a friendly team supporting children aged 0–5 years. You’ll be working within a nurturing Montessori environment, supporting children as they explore, learn and grow through child-led, nature-based experiences.

The Role

  • Supporting children aged 0–5 years
  • Working within a Montessori-inspired, child-led environment
  • Supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing
  • Taking part in outdoor and nature-based activities
  • Working as part of a supportive and dedicated team
  • Following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Full and half-day shifts available

Hours

  • The setting is open 50 weeks of the year, Monday–Friday, 8am–6pm.
  • 30–40 hours per week
  • Full-day shifts: 8am–6pm
  • Half-day shifts: 8am–1pm or 1pm–6pm
  • Shift patterns can be discussed at interview
  • Closed for one week at Christmas and one week at Easter
  • Additional annual leave provided

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with babies and/or children under 5
  • A good understanding of the EYFS
  • A genuine passion for Montessori education and outdoor, nature-based learning
  • Caring, creative and enthusiastic approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Relevant childcare qualification Level 2 or Level 3 preferred, but not essential
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

Due to the setting's location, you must have access to your own car and be able to travel to the nursery reliably. This role is best suited to candidates who live locally or within a reasonable commuting distance of Chorleywood.
