We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Religious Studies Teacher to deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive department and play a key role in raising achievement, engagement and outcomes for all learners.

The role

  • You will plan and deliver engaging, well-structured and differentiated RS lessons, using effective assessment to support progress.
  • Working closely with the Head of Department, you will contribute to curriculum development, maintain high standards of teaching and learning, and support students both academically and pastorally, including acting as a form tutor.

Key responsibilities

  • Teaching high-quality RS lessons at KS3 and KS4, with strong use of assessment for learning.
  • Using student data on progress, behaviour and attendance to improve outcomes.
  • Contributing to curriculum development, departmental planning and whole-school initiatives.
  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting examination and assessment processes.
  • Building positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
