We are seeking a compassionate, creative and dedicated Primary SEN Class Teacher to join our supportive specialist school team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of children with additional learning needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The Role: You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons to primary-aged pupils with Special Educational Needs, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health needs. You will create a positive and structured classroom environment where every child can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver creative, tailored lessons in line with EHCP outcomes
- Support pupils' academic, emotional and behavioural development
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists and parents
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate records and reports
- Foster a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Use positive behaviour strategies to support pupils' individual needs
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- August 2026 start
- Experience working within SEN or mainstream primary settings
- Strong understanding of differentiated learning and inclusive practice
- Patient, resilient and nurturing approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for supporting children with additional needs
